Alex Hitchner is doing a good deed. He has joined the Youth Outreach program for a local shelter. When he gets a letter informing him there is a youth he can mentor, he accepts. Just seeing a picture of Jamie has him agreeing. Will he be able to resist Jamie once he meets him face to face?

Jamie Owens has had a tough life. He is eighteen and lives in a shelter. He also likes to be the center of attention. All he has ever wanted or needed was for someone to love him. Will he find that someone in Alex?

Alex knows that for him this will be tough. Helping Jamie is what he wants to do more than anything but he is afraid his attraction to him will get in the way. Jamie does his best to push Alex's buttons just begging him to touch him. When Alex refuses, Jamie goes to clubs to blow off some steam. After denying himself for so long, Alex leaves the outreach program, but at what cost to Jamie?

J.M. Snyder has done an outstanding job. This story is so packed with emotion, you feel for each of the characters. Jamie hurts for attention and love. Alex is afraid to trust himself with another lover after his last relationship. Both of them have so much depth, they are entirely believable. I could not stop reading until the story was done. J.M. Snyder showed me with this story why I read her work time and again.
