Brian first saw Cassie on the beach and bingo, something hit him hard. Being a history teacher, his luck with women was never that great. He knew no one wanted to become serious with an unemployed thirty-year-old teacher.
Cassie is at an end of season party when she meets Brian. A week passes before she actually makes a connection with him and she is determined to get closer to him any way she can.
Thanks to his teaching degree, Brian takes off three months to do something he really enjoys, surfing. This year left him worrying since his teacher contract was up. One thing was certain; he no longer wanted to be alone. He gets a glimpse of the lovely Cassie on the beach at midnight. She likes to keep things about herself private. Then sparks fly between them, making him wonder why someone as lovely as herself could love someone like him. Are they really two soul-mates meant to be together, or is this just some wicked dream?
Confessions of a Vampire’s Lover is a hot read. Cassie is a person who goes after what she wants. I loved the way she could often read Brian’s thoughts and end his sentences before he spoke. Some of their more ardent moments were so visual, I could almost see the intensity on their faces. Kelli A. Wilkins creates two different characters who connect well with each other and with the reader. She pens a delightful story I could read again and still fall in love with Cassie and Brian all over again. This enchanting tale has a way of spreading sunshine to the heart.
