After seven years on the Bay City police department as a homicide detective, Sharon Knowles has turned private investigator. No matter what the case, she is relentless in her pursuit of justice.
Captain MacSorley is Sharon’s godfather as well as her ex-boss. After Sharon graduated from the police academy, he picked her to work his beat.
Sharon is a very busy woman. When she is not working with the police department, she has many clients who are in need of her services. From finding murderers to insurance fraud cases and street gangs, her life is far from dull.
Mr. Lynskey sheds some light on the side of life that most people choose to ignore. In general, these tales are well written. However, overall, the book did not flow smoothly. The chapters were confusing as they jumped from past to present. This reviewer received an education in crime. The people who work the scenes, whether police or private investigators, deserve more credit than they get.
