Chandler Sutherland knows it is necessary to learn the style and language of the people with whom he is to mingle. As a vampire, he must be careful not to draw undue attention.
Jada Harris is undercover as a dancer to try to catch a man by the name of Collins who sells stolen art. The nightclub is only a cover up to help the police.
One touch from Chandler, along with the sound of his deep voice, and others are at his beck and call. It is a strong command when he has the need to feed or fill his sexual hunger. Then again, being a vampire can often be annoying. A master vampire by the name of Johannes tricked him, taking his mortality. Trying to mingle in leads him to Jada, a dancer that really can excite a man. Jada believes Chandler is one of the undercover cops watching over her until they catch Collins, an art thief. Chandler begins caring deeply for Jada, who has stolen his heart. He knows he can never give her his heart; with him being a vampire and her a mortal. When Johannes appears, Chandler believes it spells trouble. How can he protect Jada, and give his whole heart to her, if Johannes interferes?
Chandler is a spectacular read. I love how it starts with little secrets as the plot slowly unfolds. Chandler may be a charismatic vampire who needs blood, but deep down his compassionate side shines through making the reader care for him. The way he and Jada start their relationship with their robust dialogue, really allows them to interact great together. Fawn Lowery creates a fascinating read that kept this reader turning the pages. With the casting of Johannes, it blends in some intrigue, and an ending that leaves the reader wanting more.
