Khamiel Roche is an FBI agent, home due to the death of her very famous scientist mother, Marie Roche. With the suspicious way her mother died, the CDC has now quarantined Khamiel, along with the local doctor and a visiting house painter.
Stanley Freeman is a high level security agent, who has only two bosses; his immediate supervisor and the President of the United States. Quarantined with Khamiel is no hardship for Stan; he uses his time for inspecting the laboratory of Marie Roche and her experiments.
Stuck with Stan for two weeks is not the way Khamiel ever envisioned the day after her mother died. Now she finds out he has top level security and knows as much, or more, about her mother than she does. Project Chameleon is what everyone is either trying to protect, or kill for, depending on which side of right or wrong you are on. Chameleon has turned a sheep and her 2 lambs invisible to the naked eye. They are camouflaged and someone wants that secret. The problem is, Khamiel is accidentally cut and exposed to the agent, and ends up a Chameleon herself.
This is definitely a psychedelic trip for the reader. Sheep that are invisible until they are handled and blend in the woodwork, literally. This is a game of cat and mouse to see who can catch the other in the act first; the good or bad guys and gals. This is a powerful female cast, from the President, secret operatives, the assassin hired to kill without mercy, and even Khamiel, an FBI agent turned Chameleon commando. The love triangles in here also add spice and complexity to the story. The bottom line is that now you see her, now you do not; a secret to die for.
