CALL ME CUPID
Rating: 4 Cups
A.J. has finally put her ex behind her, and is about to marry a wonderful man. She did not think that Cooper would actually show up at the wedding. He is making her doubt her feelings for Kirk.
Cooper has always regretted the way things ended with A.J. and getting shot made him re-evaluate his life. His many times great grandfather Eros has given him an opportunity to get her back, and he is determined to take advantage of it.
Eros is determined to help out his favorite descendant. Cooper was too obsessed with his job as a police detective to give A.J. the attention she needed and deserved, so he lost her. Now she is about to marry someone else and Eros is giving him Valentine’s Day to make things right; it will be February fourteenth until he succeeds.
This poor couple is forced to live Valentine’s Day over and over again until they get it right. I felt sorry for A.J., who is really the victim here. Her ex decides to wait until the day before her wedding to let her know how he feels, and her fiancé is cheating on her with the office bimbo. Her human tornado of a mother keeps her busy and wakes her up again and again. This is an enjoyable tale with more than a little humor. Cooper and A.J. are very strong and independent characters, not to mention stubborn. Eros is determined to make sure Cooper gets things right this time around, though only Cooper and A.J. know that they are reliving the same day over and over. It is fun to watch them try again and again until they can finally admit they are still in love with each other. I love a happy ending.
