Agent Callie Wolfe is determined to pull her own weight with the department. Her father may have founded The Agency of Supernatural Police, but Callie has never relied on him to pave her way. There is only one person she wants to impress, and he seems to look right through her.
His team knows Brian Matthew Harris as Shadow; no one has known him as Brian since his transformation. The only person he wants to hear say his name is off limits. She is the founder’s daughter, and a member of one of the most elite wolf clans in the country.
Callie knows that she is an excellent agent, and her instincts are dead on when it comes to fighting the bad guys. So why is it that she has no clue what to do about Shadow? She wants him, has wanted him for three years, but he seems oblivious to her. They are part of the best team of agents in ASP, and she does not want to jeopardize that. But it is getting harder and harder to be around him and not touch him. ASP is his life, but Shadow is quickly realizing that means nothing without Callie. Chasing a deadly rogue vampire puts life into perspective, and he finally knows what he has to do. However this revelation may have come too late not only for Shadow and Callie, but for the entire team.
If you love shape-shifters and vamps, this is one story not to be missed. The characters are exhilarating and full of life. Not only the primary, but also the secondary characters have a wicked sense of humor, and are full of sass. The plot starts out with a bang and does not let up. It will keep you riveted right through to the end. Ms. Stone has just found herself a new fan, and I will be anxiously awaiting her next book.
