Kitty Burke is thirty-five years old, a real estate broker, a Bunco Babe, and has not yet met Mr. Right. Her ideal man is Chase, played by Kevin Costner from the movie Bull Durham. On a Thursday night when she is hosting the weekly Bunco Babes get-together, her toilet decides to act up and so she calls the plumber, not expecting the hunk of a man that comes instead.
Steve Pappas is visiting his cousin for a few weeks in the small town of Whispering Bay, Florida. When a call comes in for a plumbing job, he heads over as a favor to his cousin Joey. What he finds is definitely more interesting than a clogged-up toilet.
When Steve leaves Kitty after an embarrassing moment with a stripper, handcuffs, peeing outdoors, and polka-dotted thongs, she figures that is the last she’ll ever see of the hunky man. A few hours later and with some alcoholic cocktails ingested, Kitty finds herself once again meeting up with Steve. What happens next is an intense one-night stand that leads to some unfinished business, including a pair of thongs that come up missing. With hurt feelings and accusations thrown around, both figure that is the end of their fling until fate steps in and throws them together time after time in the most unusual circumstances.
Bunco Babes Tell All is a story that will keep you laughing until your sides ache and your cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Ms. Geraci has written a novel that has an air of Sex in the City meets Calamity Jane. The book was spectacularly written with one hilarious moment after another, leaving me with a very satisfied feeling. Both Kitty and Steve are characters that I found to be well-rounded and perfect for each other, offsetting each others’ personalities and complementing them perfectly. I loved this story from the first page until the last and hope to read many more works by this stellar author who seems to write funny business like nobody else!
