Laurent Deveraux is lonely after the death of the woman he thought would be his mate two hundred years ago. Sitting in a bar drowning his sorrows, Laurent suddenly catches the scent of the woman across the room. It cannot be. His memories must be playing tricks on him.

Cayenne Laroque cannot remember her human life, but what does it matter? She has a job to do and a mark to kill and then she will be free of her commitment, free to live her life as she wants. Two hundred years is a long time to serve another.

She knew she should have just killed him. What was she going to do? A vampire mated to a wolf she does not know is not her idea of fun. And now of course it means she cannot kill him without killing herself. And why does he keep calling her Violet?

Laurent never really recovered from Violet’s death, resulting in him becoming dark and brooding then, when he finds Cayenne, his whole personality changes. Even with the dangers they face, he is one happy wolf. Cayenne is a feisty character who knows what she wants and how to get it until she meets Laurent and her whole life is turned on its head. With a strong alpha male and a sexy vampires, this is a lovely story showing love can survive centuries apart. This is the third book in Ms. Blake’s Stormy Weather series, and I recommend it to anyone who has a love of wolves or vampires.
