Rating: 2 Cups
Lara has been trapped by a secret desire to be a submissive for years. Confined by
marriage with a husband who thinks her secret fantasies are “sick and perverted”, she
reaches out to those like her online. Over time she develops a friendship with Michael,
who she shares some of her secret fantasies with.
Michael has been exploring the Dom/Sub lifestyle for some time. While he is, by his own
admission, playing at it prior to meeting Lara, he feels he is ready to push the envelope
with someone and experiment more fully with his secret desires.
When Lara’s marriage ends, both she and her husband separate and agree to see
other people. After six months Lara files for divorce, and moves in with Michael.
Everything appears to be perfect in their relationship until Lara’s husband calls begging
her to return to him, and with promises he is willing to attempt to fulfill her fantasies. Lara
goes back to him not realizing she has put herself in danger. Michael, hurt by her
defection, must come to terms with the fact Lara might choose to stay with her husband.
When Michael receives a call from Lara shortly after she leaves, it becomes a race to
see whether he will make it to her side in time to protect her from a husband who is bent
This story was at times engaging, however, I had a difficult time with Michael’s behavior,
which often seemed to be in conflict with his personality. I also was not convinced Lara
really liked or wanted some of the things which Michael ordered her to do. While I
enjoyed some of the emotional aspects of their relationship, I would only recommend
this story if you like reading about the extreme aspects of the BDSM lifestyle.
