India Ashton has never gotten over losing her father or the fact that he did not rescue her from some horrible men. Now years later, she wants to find Pangoria, so she can search for him, but she knows she cannot do it on her own. Dare she ask someone to help her knowing she would have to deceive that person?
His friends know Thomas Handley, Viscount Ridgewood, as “Ridge,” a man who loves travel and adventure. Going against his father’s wishes that he produce heirs for the title is the last thing on his mind. Hurt by his fiancée Lucinda, he refuses to be played by a woman ever again. Yet, he wishes he could travel with someone.
Ridge shows up at his favorite bookseller’s and is given a journal long thought to be lost. He can read most of it but there are a few pages written in Pangorian script that he cannot transcribe. The only person he knows that can help him is India Ashton. When he seeks her help, she turns a cold shoulder and tells him to leave. He tries to change her mind so that together they can uncover a treasure most people consider a myth. Will their hearts become entwined in the process?
The adventure will leave India and Ridge scrambling for their lives. Someone else wants to find the secret city just as much as they do and is willing to do it at any price. Filled with surprises, Ms Long's story will captivate you from the beginning. It is also full of romance, secrets, and a search for a security that was there all along. Trust is a major issue for both India and Ridge. I found all the characters very realistic and the passion off the charts.
