Mercedes Brooks has a very interesting blog, the Red Choo sex blog. It has gained her an agent and a publisher. It also helped her get a guest spot on The Sam Porter Show, which led to sparks between her and Sam. Now a year later, and after the release of her book, she is asked back for a small spot on his show.

Sam Porter has been married once before and does not intend to go down that road again. Yet over the past twelve months he has found himself thinking of Mercedes. When he sees her face on the back of a book, he knows he must see her again. He hopes that one night with her will cure his fascination with her.

Mercedes cannot believe that Sam Porter wants her back on his show. But this could be a good thing for her writing career. It is also the opportunity to seduce him like she has been fantasizing for the past year. After the trip to San Francisco and the days following their return to New York, Mercedes and Sam both know that one night will never be enough. There is one tiny problem, with him running for congress, will her writing career hurt his campaign? Will they be strong enough together to weather the storm?

Sparks fly off the page hot enough to crackle in the air. It is not just the sex scenes that cause this, it is the characters themselves. Ms. O'Reilly gives us down to earth characters that are intelligent, funny and full of charm. Mercedes is stubborn and scared of relationships and Sam has the strength that every well written alpha male should have. I was drawn into this story from the first page. The characters seem so real and so normal, which is a plus for any writer to be able to accomplish. This final installment of The Red Choo Diaries is a superb finale.
