Lily Tyler, an English Literature professor, is looking for her Mr. Darcy. She thinks that she has found him in Gerald, an associate in her father’s firm. She should not be attracted to the handsome womanizing pilot living in the other half of her twin house, but cannot help herself.

Brady is taking a break from dating. Although he has been a playboy for a long time, an incident with a one-night stand resembling “Fatal Attraction” has made him reconsider his lifestyle. So, no more dating… Too bad the biggest temptation he has ever seen lives next door.

Lily and Brady do not intend to get together romantically. Lily’s dog Doug is definitely against the relationship. Somehow, despite everything the two are drawn together no matter how much they fight it.

I really enjoyed reading this funny romance. Doug is the star of the book. He had me laughing with his antics, from eating the motorcycle to the shoe fetish. Brady finally figures out what everyone means when they say, "beware of Doug.” He is also the barometer of the relationship, the more he approves of Brady, the less destructive he is. Brady and Lily are very real characters who get together in spite of themselves. The other characters are very well done, but I had too much fun focusing on Lily, Brady and Doug to pay much attention to them. This one will make you laugh!
