Teresa Knight calls herself a problem solver, but what she actually does is go places that others will not go, like an elite BDSM cult to find out the truth about her friend’s murder. In doing so, she also uncovers things about herself she may not have wanted to know.

The Sarcophacan Temple of Nubian Princes is a place where the elite go to play BDSM games. They believe in total submission, for the women at least. In a world that believes boundaries are made to be overcome, however, someone pushed a little too far with Anna and she wound up dead.

When Anna, Teresa’s friend, is found dead, all signs point to a drug related hit. However, she knows her friend never did drugs. Questions lead Teresa to Bangkok and Anna’s brother, who is also not convinced. After an assassination attempt lets them know they may be on the right trail, she is hired by him to start an investigation into Anna's death. Anna’s boyfriend has made his own inquiries and this sends Teresa to New York to meet the enigmatic Oliver, who begins her training as a submissive, which is something she enjoys much more than she thought she would. This leads Teresa down a dark and twisted path into a BDSM cult that she may not be able to escape from with her skin intact.

Teresa is a globetrotting problem solver who is actually a private investigator who will really go all the way to get to the bottom of a mystery. I loved the way she just wings it; getting by on her guts and intelligence and sometimes sheer luck. Told with very gritty realism in an exposé journalistic style, this book makes you think you are getting a juicy piece of news, when what you have is a great erotic thriller from a top rate writer who is not afraid to kiss, kill, and tell. I hope Ms Lawrence is going to give us more Teresa, because I for one cannot wait to see what trouble she gets herself into, or how she will get out of it next time. Not for the faint of heart, but please pick up Beg Me, if you dare.
