BANKING ON LOVE
Rating 4 Cups
Amy is recovering from a bitter divorce, but is glad to be rid of her cruel husband. After he makes sure she loses her job, Amy uses one of her last dollars to buy a lottery ticket. Then luck is on her side when she sees a high school crush, Blake, and starts spending time with him and soon the two realize she is the big winner.
Blake has left Wall Street to take over the running his family’s bank and is thrilled to find Amy available. When she wins, he hopes she can overcome whatever is holding her back and enjoy the rest of her life with him.
As Amy tries to figure what to do with her money, Blake is juggling protecting her and making her want him with the same desire he feels for her. When Amy’s
ex gets involved things get even more complicated.
Banking on Love is a great romance with some exciting sex to make it wonderful. Amy and Blake are good together, and his father as a support character is a hoot. He adds the perfect amount of humor into a serious love story. The dialogue is snappy when appropriate and stirring at the perfect time. The ex is almost a caricature and unfortunately Amy’s past reactions to him reflect poorly on her. Other than that, Banking on Love is a wonderful story and I am now a confirmed fan of Ms. Lindquist.
