Kalie Nova is a woman who trying to put her life back together. She was really seeking out who she is and not looking back if there were consequences. She has feelings that she will not embrace, but is curious about them.

Agent Rigel Stone is in a high position protecting the Monarch of Anestia Terres. He is the youngest person to hold it, but he only concentrates on the job. When he runs into Kalie, everything changes for him. He feels with a depth unknown to him. He is also unsure of what to do with his feelings, but is willing to explore them.

Kalie has found a secret plot with plans for someone to take over the highest position of Pompeag. Yet while her friend Sayd was hacking into the computer system to find information out, a tracker was placed on her search. Running into Regil changes her whole perspective and eventually she asks for help to prove her findings. But can Kalie prove it, find out who she really is, and help Regil before a new battle erupts? Or will she be captured and all of her plans go up in smoke?

I liked this story so much that it gets 4 cup rating. I like Sci-fi and Paranormal type books, but this one impressed me with the world that Ms. Taylor was able to create. I believed the story because it all came alive. The feelings that the characters felt were not only legitimate, but it was a whole realm of emotions. Finding out the truth is not easy to deal with when it is full of surprises, and I appreciated how well thought through everything was, down to the last detail of rank and status for that person.
