Tempest Storm is one of the three Aisling-Bartell triplets. All of them are psychic, and Tempest has psychometry. When she touches an object she can tell its history and that of the people who touched it. Once vulnerable to manipulation, she is now her own person.
Marcus Greystone is a very powerful man. His ego is bruised when Tempest runs from him and he is determined to have her on his own terms. He also needs her to solve a mystery in his own past.
Marcus Greystone wants to find the person who murdered his parents twenty-one years ago. He has something Tempest needs and her talents will help find the killer. Tempest needs the ancient brooch to protect her family from an unknown threat, and Marcus to protect her.
This is a totally engrossing story. Tempest and Marcus are such strong characters that it is inevitable that they clash frequently, but their attraction makes these clashes very interesting. The author provides us with a number of possible killers, all of whom seem loyal to Marcus and his late mother. Tempest’s own shady past adds an interesting layer to the story. The Aisling family history and the curse on the family are even more mysterious and ominous at the end of the book than at the beginning. I got into the story right away, and both main characters have enough issues to keep the reader interested. I loved how the sisters communicate and how easily Marcus accepts it, and for the most part, Tempest. The author really did a great job of describing the setting and the characters. This series is leading up to one doozy of a climax and I cannot wait to read the final chapters.
