Tessa deGroot is finally able to stretch her wings when she has the chance to take a new house far from New York. She falls in love with the house and is determined to know the history of it. She believes this where she can finally find her true heart in sculpting.

Maximillian MacDougal has a good life as a home inspector. He has never believed he would find a woman in need of rescuing, but Tessa truly fits the bill. Max feels there is the possibility that they could come to mean a lot to each other, if only he can get Tessa to open up to him. He knows very little about Ardenwycke house, but realizing how important the house is to Tessa, he decides helping her just might win him the love that he desires.

Curious things are going on at the Ardenwycke house, which is over two hundred years old. On her first visit, when she walks in between the Blue and Green rooms, Tessa becomes faint. Suspecting there is a story there, she wants to know what could have happened that would cause the fainting. In her search, Tessa finds love is the key, and falls in love herself, with Max. She hopes she can make Max understand how important the house is to her.

Unknown forces reside in Ardenwycke house. It is up to Tessa and Max to figure out what is going on, which will not be an easy task. I was completely enthralled with the story Ms. Ferjutz wrote. Tessa and Max found a love that kept them going. I was blown away by the events from the past and how they affected the future. This is an amazing love story that thrilled me to the core.
