Inspirational Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Hannah loves her job singing in a lounge called Kipper’s. She would love to raise enough money to buy it one day and have some security for her and her three-year old son. Her boss’s health is failing with age and he needs to sell the lounge.
Brock comes on board to buy Kipper’s out from under Hannah’s nose. He has plans to turn it into a gentleman’s club. He cannot understand the hostility toward him from Hannah. He hopes she will be willing to accept the change. Years ago Brock had an accident and his memory is now affected. He has no idea who Hannah and her son really are.
Hannah knows Brock the minute he walks into the club. After fainting at seeing the father of her baby, and the man who married her then left her the next day, Hannah has some choices to make. Brock has walked back into her life and he seems arrogant and stubborn. He has no memory of her, but she still needs to find out if he had the accident because he ran from her. Perhaps he planned never to return to his new wife. She has to know.
Quite a delightful tale. I enjoyed the struggle between Hannah’s worry of right and wrong, and how ultimately her faith brings the answers she seeks. Brock and Hannah are endearing characters who will have you on their side immediately. I love an inspirational romance and I loved this story. Well done, Ms Latham.
