Cynthia Louise Harrington has no mother, brother, or sisters, so her father likes to have control of her life. No longer able to handle his conditions, after he plans to wed her to his choice of a husband, she runs away.
Ricardo Romero is knowledgeable when it comes to managing horses and women, but finds Cynthia reserved. When he is asked to follow Cynthia and return her safely home, he decides to turn the tables and propose marriage.
Cynthia believes her father has gone too far this time in choosing a husband that is in the same category as him. Not long after she flees from her home, she is followed by Ricardo who is to bring her back. Reluctantly, Cynthia returns with him. When her intended learns the two spent the night together, he is furious. Ricardo decides to ask for her hand in marriage and take her to his ranch. Once Cynthia is introduced to Ricardo’s family, she gets an icy welcome from his mother, who is not happy with her son’s bride. Can Cynthia trust Ricardo or will she be forced to return home once again after receiving such a harsh welcome?
Outstanding dialogue, conflict, and remarkable vibrant characters make All My Hopes and Dreams, a sensational read. The portrait of the hero and heroine permit the reader to get a great illustration of each. I absolutely loved the interaction of Cynthia and Ricardo. Their beautiful chemistry is well-developed as their courtship slowly builds up. Celia Yeary fashions an incredible tale with convincing secondary characters that provide the story with a certain dazzle. She gives Cynthia spunk and resolve; I like that. With the lovely backdrop and scenery of Texas, this is a story one should not allow to slip through their fingers.
