Paige Carson is an Oscar winning actress and the daughter of a rock star, and a model-turned-actress. Her career is in a bit of a slump and she is feeling over the hill at twenty nine. A change of scene might help her regain her confidence.

Ed Hawkshead makes documentaries for British television. He has the opportunity to sell his company for a lot of money, but they do not want his partner, Maddie. Strapped for cash, he rents out the upper part of his house to pay the mortgage.

A Hollywood actress, fed up with that scene, takes a part in a British production of As You Like It. Her landlord dislikes her movie star image, but soon begins to appreciate the woman behind the image.

This is a good story with well developed characters and an interesting plot. The author’s depiction of life in Hollywood and London and the different characters are very entertaining. I liked Paige, who seems to be a good person despite her dysfunctional parents and manipulative life coach. Her costar is an arrogant jerk. Paige’s father and best friend are colorful characters and Paige’s visit to Davina’s country house is very funny. This is an entertaining and fast moving story.
