Inheritance
Chase Taylor is completely different from her family. She is not concerned with money or material things. So, when her grandmother leaves her the beach house, which also means sharing the house with a complete stranger she is in shock.
Reece Weston could not be more puzzled. Why would his friend put him in this kind of situation? He did not want to come between Chase and her family. But according to the will, that was exactly what was happening.
The first month of living together, Reece and Chase barely see one another. But as he finishes his project at work, they have more time together. They seem to just click together. After he finds out her mother is having him investigated, he knows he cannot stay in the house loving Chase as he does. Chase does digging of her own and knows that nothing will stop her from having Reece. But will he feel the same way?
A beautiful story of two people thrown together quite by chance. I loved the way the characters seem to be on the same page, yet not quite. There is a distance between them and though they face several trials together, love wins out. MG Braden has written an outstanding love story.
Summer's Return
Arianna Morgan cannot believe that after all this time he is returning. Just like when they were kids, her excitement at seeing Parker again has her nervous. She has loved him her whole life but does not know if he could ever feel the same.
Parker Radcliffe is only looking to sell his beach house. He never expected to find Arianna was his real estate agent. All his memories of loving her flood through him with just one glance from her. But as usual, he thinks she is just playing with his emotions.
Arianna tries desperately to show Parker how much she cares for him and loves him, but does not seem to be getting through to him. After a crab roast, he admits to her that he has always loved her. Her response to that makes him angry and he pushes her away. Will she be able to make him understand and will he finally come to his senses?
What a wonderful and amazing story. Ms. Green brings deep emotions to this true work of art. The hopelessness that both Arianna and Parker feel being in the presence of each other is overwhelming.
These two stories make the reader long for a summer romance that ends happily. I know I smiled at how the stories seem to spring to life from the pages. I felt I knew each of the characters and their stories personally. Both of these authors are wonderful writers and I long to read more from each of them in the future. This is one book that you should not pass by, but read and savor each word.
