Political reporter Nevada Justice is itching for some down time, and the perfect vacation spot is the all-vampire city of Vampiropolis. Touristy sites and shopping complete, Nevada is ready to explore the local hot spots, and discover the real heart of the city.

Having had his heart tromped on once, Lucian Sandros is not eager for a repeat performance. Casual and carefree is the name of the game, but after meeting Nevada, his game has come to a screeching halt.

Looking up, way up, Nevada is about to have a total meltdown. The golden Adonis in front of her staking his claim is seriously the most devastatingly gorgeous man she has ever come across. He takes command of every one of her senses, and if she is not careful, she may just disintegrate on the spot. However, domination can only go so far before Nevada and Luc start butting heads and Luc has to decide if his heart is ready for the front line once again.

From the name of the city to the characters, this story has a very comic book feel, albeit with a rather pornographic context. The sex is sizzling and abundant, but the plot feels contrived and superficial. Nevada is like a plastic Barbie, with very little in the way of substance, and Luc’s vampirism is practically non-existent. Honestly, the whole vampire aspect is completely downplayed, and in my opinion really does not feel like an integral part of the story.
