Contemporary Vampire Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Mona Rossi books a New Years romance writers cruise with the Apollo Cruise Lines. It has been three months since she has seen her on-again-off-again main squeeze, Fausto. After her messy divorce, he was there to console her. The cruise was for him.
Fausto Silvius is a four-hundred-year-old vampire and one of the shipboard doctors, but a personal tragedy kept him from working for six months. For the past few months, he has had to lay low, then gets devastating news about his ex-wife.
Mona is aware her latest romance suspense series has lost its pizzazz. She believes the cruise will help Faust while reinventing her writing again. Bringing along her book publisher, and best friend, Tessie, she will be able to confess that Faust and his friends are vampires. Faust is trying to avoid the vampire hunters while spending time with Mona. No one expected his long-lost, ex-wife, Lucrezia Borgia, to appear saying their divorce was never valid. He wants a divorce immediately, or he will spill secrets. When Faust receives an ominous message, Mona is certain the vampire hunters are nearby. It appears the cruise hits a snag when a serial killer boards. Could anything else go awry?
From a hot tub of fun to a displeased ex-wife and a serial killer bent on revenge, A Bloody Good Cruise is a high seas adventure with twists and turns around every corner. The lively cast spins non-stop excitement with thrills and enough snags to keep the pages turning. Mona and Fausto are immersed in many complications, yet will do whatever it takes to make a go of their relationship. Diana Rubino crafts a good read with interesting players that never have a dull moment. Tessie is a wonderful secondary character that adds her own personality to this enchanting tale.
