Lauren Chambers is a hard working administrative assistant with traditional values and
a very undependable car.  When it dies at an intersection one morning, she is rescued
by a tall, dark stranger.  Wishing she knew how to contact him to thank him properly, she
is thrilled when he walks into her meeting later that morning.

Jeremy Blake is a handsome lawyer working on a new project for Lauren’s boss.  A
widower with a delightful son, his focus in life is winning.  He is not interested in more
than his successful career and son, until the beautiful Lauren enters his life and helps
him see that there is more to life than making money.

Although the attraction between these two is undeniable, Lauren’s faith and values will
not allow her to become seriously involved with Jeremy outside of marriage.  Jeremy
has had nothing but bad examples of marriage relationships, and is not interested in
risking his heart.  The two are forced together due to their business relationship, but find
it impossible to keep their personal feelings strictly business.

I enjoyed watching these two people find common ground upon which to build their
relationship from business to friendship to romance.  The dialogue flowed easily, and
the changes of scenery were pleasant and well defined.  The supporting characters
added depth of emotion to the plot without taking away from the main story line.  Ms.
Gardiner has penned a refreshingly enjoyable story, and I look forward to seeing more
of her excellent work.
