Troy Davis has spent almost all his life as sheriff in Cedar Cove. After the death of his beloved wife, a huge hole was felt in his life. Then there is Faith, an old sweetheart, who seems to open up his heart to love.
Faith Beckwith connects with Troy after his wife’s death. She can only hope her on and off again relationship with him will eventually blossom.
Troy was devastated with the death of his wife. Even though she had been ill for a long time and they did not expect her to live, he feels as if it has been more than a year since her death. When he begins seeing Faith, Megan is crushed that he would begin dating anyone after her mother’s death. The impact takes its toll on Megan, and she suffers a miscarriage. Troy had planned on proposing to Faith but this incident changed things. He promises to be a better father to Megan. Then Faith is targeted with some break-ins. It is up to Troy to find out who is behind the problem and why Faith is being targeted. Will it bring her and Troy closer together again, or will he continue to close his heart to love, for fear of breaking his daughter’s heart further?
Once again Debbie Macomber captivates her audience in this stirring read with her vibrant characters that continue to interact with the reader. 92 Pacific Boulevard is a nice flowing read that keeps the reader absorbed with the players as they embrace each day with new decisions to make. I found that one can share in the friendship that each person brings into this town, as well as feel a comforting greeting that extends to all with open arms. I love the incorporation of the sweet romance, as well as a bit of mystery to the read. This is an enjoyable story that one will not forget.
