Morgan Price, public relations manager for celebrities, was returning back to work after a year off. She had fallen in love with her previous client and it ended badly, with her heart broken.
Vince Evans, AKA the “God of Snow”, was the “bad boy” of the winter sports scene. Losing sponsors because of his bad attitude and careless regard to showing up for appointments and interviews, he needed a lot of help if he expected to be accepted for the winter Olympics team.
Morgan is convinced by Vince’s parents to take him on as a client. She immediately knows that she has her work cut out for her. Vince is careless and irresponsible, but also devastatingly sexy. After her past bad experience, she is determined to not get involved with another client. As the two work together, they grow closer, and Morgan sees that Vince is making changes for the better. Just as the two are falling in love, a blast from Morgan’s past blows into town and wreaks havoc with their relationship, both professional and personal.
1080 Kiss is anything but chilly. Morgan and Vince are very realistic characters, with problems and pain in their pasts. The story is smooth and refreshing with dialogue that is smart and snappy. The emotions throughout the story are raw and vivid bringing the reader closer to the characters. Ms. Steed’s first novel is very well done. This contemporary romance is great fun and I look forward to reading more of her work.
